When choosing the right size of the life jacket, please consider the carrying capacity (weight of the dog) and not the length of the back. Since the dog steers with its tail in the water, the life jacket should not cover the base of the tail and should not reach further than the hips. Not suitable for short legged breed (e.g. daschunds).
